I just watched the live concert board-cast of a new Japanese Dance pop group – Perfume. It is basically a three gal group singing w/ vocoder, auto-tuned vocal plus music of Daftpunk. The music production is not bad, almost like the robot from the original Daftpunk. And the action of the 3 little gals are dancing and acting like some cue-tie robotic dolls. It is easy to say that the target audience are the OTAKU from Akihabara, where maid cafe is a big hit in the area.
